Characterization in Maya for Motionbuilder

If we need to work with motion capture data, we would need to characterize our character in maya first. It’s quite simple to do this. All we need is just to match the joints under the animation skeleton tab – human IK. Then export as FBX.

In newer versions of maya, there are plugins that allow you to send to motionbuilder directly.
