The way to sculpt something as if it were a ball of clay would be to use dynamesh in zbrush! No topology woes anymore.
We just need to define a resolution to work with. Thereafter, we get a mesh that is ready to sculpt. If it gets stretched, we just control drag-click an empty area on the canvas and it becomes smooth again. The same method is used to combine 2 meshes together just like how you stick 2 clay together.
Time to create super detailed sculptures!
