Digital Tutors: Animating with Props in Motionbuilder

Excellent tutorial for learning how to modify mocap animation to suit your needs, as well as using rigid bodies for props if there is a need to collide it with something.

What you need to do is to create an overriding animation layer where you can blend the weights to transit your mocap animation into your keyframe animation and use constraints (multi-referential which allow transfer of control) to attach and detach props from your characters limbs. We can always use the physics solver for our props when needed.
