Production nCloth settings for Maya

Although it differs from project to project, I use these settings as benchmark for high quality production settings (the other reason being I’m lazy to optimize simulation time):

Nucleus
Substeps: 15-30Max collision iterations: 20-40

nClothShape
Max self-collide iterations: 20-30 (depends on mesh subdiv)
Lift: 0.0001 if you set your scene scale to 0.01
Stretch resistance: Feel free to go 200 if needed
Compression resistance: Usually low for cloth, like 0.2
Damp: Very low to reduce jitter

These are pretty much the important settings you have to change after testing your cloth simulation, provided you have the production time budget for the simulation.
